I’ve always wanted to be able to play music in all of my rooms at the same time. I have a theater setup in my living room with speakers and a projector connected to a Windows computer. In my bedroom, I have a stereo bookshelf system.
I got two Chromecast Audios and connected it to each of the systems. It was super simple to group the speaker systems on the Home app.
Now I could cast music to all the speakers in the apartment
However, because of the way I setup the Chromecast audio to the desktop, there was significant delay on one systems. I hooked up the Chromecast output to an input on the Windows computer and had it mix to the output. Google Home supports delay correction. I’m guessing it delays the lower-latency systems such that it matches the slowest. Cool!
